Monique van der Vorst of Invacare Corporation's Team Invacare placed first in the women's handcycle division at the Düsseldorf Marathon on May 3, 2009. A member of Team Invacare since 2003, van der Vorst finished the race with a time of 1:23.56, leading the second-place finisher by more than seven minutes. It was her first race in the new Invacare Top End Force R Handcycle.
