Team Invacare Set to Dominate IPC World Championships - 9/1/2009
Working endlessly over the last several months, Top End Director Chris
Peterson and his team have been building new handcycles for the members of Team Invacare. Each athlete is ready to defend or improve on their status as the best in the world at the IPC World Championships (Sept 8-13). Peterson races and trains on the handcycles himself (recently finishing 1st at the US Handcycling Series Finale Time Trials), as well as consults with the best athletes in the world on fit, aerodynamics, and design. The result? Handcycles for the world's top athletes and improvements to all models of Top End wheelchairs for every customer.
Team members going to the Worlds include:
• Ernst van DyK (Force K Handcycle) - Current double world champion and 2008 Paralympic Roadrace Gold medal winner
• Oz Sanchez (Force K) - Current 2008 Paralympic Time Trial Gold medal
winner and 2008 Paralympic Roadrace Bronze medal winner • Monique van der Vorst (Force K) - Four time world champion and 2008
Paralympic double Silver medal winner, Roadrace and Time Trial • Joel Jeannot (Force R) - French national champion
