Team Invacare’s Basketball stars Paul Schulte and Patty Ciscernos played key roles in their team’s Para Pan Am Games gold medal wins. Competing in their Top End Paul Schulte Signature Chairs, both players ensured their sides qualification for the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games.

Schulte hit a clutch three point shot with seconds left on the clock to help the USA defeat long term rivals Canada in a memorable men’s final. After convincing wins in their respective semi-finals, the North American adversaries battled until the final whistle with Schulte’s play sealing gold for the USA 52-50.

In the Women’s final, USA captain Patty Ciscernos lead home her teammates in a 6 point win 50-44, also over Northern rivals Canada.
