Double Gold at Para Pan Am Games - 8/15/2007
Kaitlyn Verfeuth has brought home double gold for Team Invacare at the recent Para Pan Am Games in Rio de Janeiro, winning both the singles and doubles Women’s Wheelchair Tennis titles. Verfeuth partnered fellow American Beth Arnoult-Ritthaler to win Gold in the doubles, before defeating her partner 6-3, 6-1 in the singles final. She said “I’m really excited about winning the gold. I was really nervous coming into the match because it’s always hard facing someone from the U.S, but I was able to play well and it all worked out.” Twenty two year old Verfeuth is one of the rising stars of women’s tennis, and her solid performances in Brazil are further evidence of her burgeoning potential, which is building towards another great Team Invacare success story.
